2023 Concordia Fishing Derby: A Fin-tastic Day!

The 2023 Concordia Fishing Derby for Kids is o-fish-ally in the books! The annual event, held at the beautiful Saxony Farm Lake, drew a crowd of over 800 guests – making it one of the most attended fishing derbies to date!

We were blessed with sunshine all day and temperatures in the upper 60s. Prizes were given out every half hour for the largest and smallest catch, along with special prizes throughout the day. Guests enjoyed close to 1,000 hotdogs, chips, fruit and drinks – all for FREE! The biggest catch of the day was a mammoth largemouth bass measuring in at 18 1/4 inches; the smallest catch was a bluegill coming in at 1 ¾ inches.
